Central High supports FHDC resident

Silvia, who was diagnosed with Polio when she was just a year old, has struggled to do tasks such as grocery shopping with her disability. She migrated to Oregon when she was 15 and received her first leg brace at 18, but has been unable to afford a new brace that is a better fit. Central High students, who usually support organizations during their annual fundraiser, decided to support an individual this year. When they asekd FHDC what they could to to help, they were encouraged to support Silvia.

In order to raise the money, they talked to organizations, asked their peers to support their cause, and put on their Third Annual Mr. and Mrs. Central Pageant. The event featured 10 students who competed to win the title of Mr. or Mrs. Central through dance, talent, and formal wear competitions.
